Reza kicked off his campaign surrounded by neighbours and community members.
On [date], Mohammad Ali Reza officially launched his campaign for Toronto City Council in Ward 20, Scarborough Southwest. The launch took place at [location], where neighbours, local families, small business owners and community volunteers gathered to show their support.
The room was full of familiar faces. Many of the people who came out are the same neighbours Reza has met at local events, community programs and everyday conversations across the ward. For a campaign built on listening to residents, it was fitting that the first official day started with the community itself.
Why Reza Is Running
In his remarks, Reza spoke about why he decided to run for Ward 20 and what he hopes to bring to City Hall.
“[Add Reza’s quote from the launch here]”
He also shared the issues he plans to focus on during the campaign, including [priority 1], [priority 2] and [priority 3]. These are concerns he has heard again and again from residents, and they will shape the conversations he has at doors across Scarborough Southwest in the weeks ahead.
A Campaign Powered by Neighbours
The launch was more than a speech. Attendees signed up to volunteer, picked up lawn signs and talked with Reza one on one about what matters most on their street. Every conversation helps the campaign understand the real needs of the community.
Reza thanked everyone who came out and everyone who helped make the event possible, from the volunteers who set up early to the families who brought their kids along.
What Comes Next
With the campaign now underway, Reza and his team will be out in the community knocking on doors, attending local events and meeting residents ahead of the Toronto municipal election on October 26, 2026.
